Tranvías en Bolivia

Estimado Sr. Gabriel Mariaca:

Greetings. Our friend Daniel Buck gave me your address and suggested
that I write to you. Please forgive me if I write in English. I can
read Spanish easily, but I write it poorly.

I am a transport historian with specialty in Latin America. I have
1000+ pages with 2000+ photographs on the Internet, indexed at
http://www.tramz.com
I have history, pictures and maps of the tramways of Bolivia starting at
http://tramz.com/bo/bos.html

For 35 years I have been trying to find more information about the
tramways of Potosí, which had a very short life around 1915. Recently a
colleague in Oruro went to Potosí and at the Casa Nacional de Moneda
found an article about its tramway written by Gastón Dick O. and
published about 1983 in POTOSI DE AYER Y DE HOY. (Unfortunately my
friend did not note the exact date of the article.)

If possible, I would like to locate Sr. Dick. I wrote to the Casa de
Moneda, but received no reply. Do you know if Gastón Dick is still
alive? And, if so, would you perhaps know a way that I can reach him?

Also, do you know of any photographs of the tranvías de Potosí? I have
a few on my webpage, but would like to see more.

Any help or suggestions that you can provide will be greatly
appreciated. You may write to me in Spanish.

Sincerely,

Allen Morrison
